The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is probing the drugs angle in the sudden death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput for few months. Finally, the agency has filed a charge sheet against 33 people including Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty. Along with the annexures, the charge sheet has 11,700 pages.
At present, eight persons are in judicial custody and the remaining are out on bail. Even Rhea and her brother were arrested in this case and both of them were released on a bail. The NCB clarified in the press note that further investigation will continue in the case.
The note stated that the case was thoroughly investigated on the basis of seizures affected by the accused persons, voluntary disclosure statements, technical evidences i.e connectivity through call details, WhatsApp Chats, details of bank accounts/financial transactions and other oral and documentary evidences.
Besides, the NCB submitted several annexures in digital form to the court. It clarified that the supplementary charge sheet will be filed once the investigation is completed.
